I had a similar problem, and had a RED B after the call.
After starting the program, you look at the freq./mode window and
see your freq. and mode...... click on it and you will see a screen
with the different modes CW, USB, LSB etc., click on the USB button
if you are going to operate USB/20M then 14000 if you are going to
operate on 20M, then click on OK.
Otherwise you get the default.
If you have already started the contest before noticing the error
you can delete the last contacts (after recording them somewhere)
then re-enter them correctly.
