I am having trouble connecting my 2nd transceiver to Writelog.
My computer, a Dell 8200 running Windows XP Pro, has only one
built-in serial port which I have hooked up to a W5XD keyer and
then to a IC-781 via a CT-17. This works fine with Writelog.

My problem is with the second radio (FT-1000D) which is hooked up
via a Byterunner PCI serial port expansion card on COM3 (the
Byterunner card is set up for COM2 - COM9). Writelog does not
seem to recognize this radio when it's on COM3 via the Byterunner
card. The FT-1000D works fine when plugged into COM1, the
computer's only serial port.

The IC-781 also doesn't work when connected to Writelog via the
Byterunner card.

Windows Device Manager shows the Byterunner card as functioning
normally.

Is there some sort of additional set-up I should be doing to tell
Writelog I am using a serial expansion card?

Help!

Bill AA6TT
