[WriteLog] mouse scrolling & tuning

I have found that if the entry window is "docked" inside the log window I 
have erratic response to the mouse wheel. The scroll wheel on the logitech 
keyboard works fine, If I undock the entry window & move it outside the log 
window they both seem to work OK.
