Thanks for the reference, but I don't think the answer to Tom's question is
on my survey page. However, I understand the question, and it's a good one.
It's important to differentiate "channels" from "inputs". Any stereo card
should record 2 CHANNELS. Tom is looking for a card that will record from 2
INPUTS (eg LINE IN and MIC) at the same time. I have had one of these in a
past computer, but I can't remember for sure what it was - probably just an
original Soundblaster 16 in an ISA slot!
I also appreciate the problem that this type of thing is difficult to figure
out before purchasing! You could try calling tech support of a major
manufacturer if you don't get a practical answer here. Good luck, and let
us know the answer - I have 2 soundcards and 1 integrated sound in my
computer, and none will record from 2 inputs at the same time. 73 - John,
