I've just installed a new Multi IO 2 ports card in my PC to give me some
additional com ports..
These have shown up on my PC as 'Com Port 6' and 'Com Port 7'.
Following the information on K9JY's page I have added the following to the
Writelog.ini file in the ports section.
CommSlot1=1
CommSlot2=2
CommSlot3=6
CommSlot4=7
Now when I go into the Setup>Ports section I have Com0, Com1, Com5 and Com6
???
Where Com0 is actually Com Port 1 and Com5 is Com Port 6 and Com6 is Com
Port 7 ???
My question is, whilst it is working all OK now... Shouldn't Com Port 1 say
Com1 etc etc ???
Just for information I was previously using a USB-Com adaptor for rig
control only. However, every now and then when running CW, WriteLog would
log the contact as LSB, and I would get a Red 'B' next to the QSO in the log
which I had to manually change and then recalculate the score. This is now
fixed that I'm no longer using the USB-Com adaptor.. I had previously given
up on the USB adaptor for generating CW, as it could be very erratic at
times..
Hope everyone enjoyed the contest at the weekend, and good to see conditions
where pretty good. Even managed to work 30 DXCC entities (mostly EU) on
80metres using a 10 metre wire antenna with 2 counterpoise wires and 100w.
Anyone want a slightly used USB-Com adaptor ???
Best Regards
David, VK2DPD
