The Collegiate Amateur Radio Group has organized a digital contest for clubs
located at colleges and universities for this Saturday. The event beings at
1800Z and goes until 2359Z on March 27. I know that it conflicts with WPX,
but then many school clubs probably are not worried about WPX.
If you hear a CQ for the 'CARA Sprint', 'Collegiate Contest' or something
close, please take time to work the school club. Be patient with the clubs,
for I am sure that many will never have been on a digital mode before.
Assuming I can find a few minutes while preparing for a dinner party at my
place, I hope to get on and pass out a few Q's using the University of
Michigan club call.

RTTY Sprint
Six Hour Contest March 27-28
ALEXANDRIA, VA -- The Collegiate Amateur Radio Association will sponsor the
Spring Break RTTY Sprint contest March 27-28. The purpose of the RTTY
sprint, a six hour contest from 1800-0000 UTC, will be to encourage college
club activity on the digital teletype modes. The contest is open to all
Amateur Radio operators. CARA station W4SSS will be active during the
contest.
