The current interfacing problem stems from the fact that Orion has used a
new protocol in its chip for the latest rotors beginning sometime around
July or August 2004. The new protocol has not been added to WriteLog yet.
Therefore, those of you with the older rotor control boxes can interface,
but the new ones cannot yet. A German ham sent me email indicating that he
has asked Ron to update this item as early as July, 2004. The wait is on
and CQWW CW is bearing down on us.
