SETUP:
I use the 'Enter Sends Exchg/QRZ' option, under the Entry menu, in WL
for SSB tests.
This maps 3 selectable function keys to play one of three messages when
the Enter keyboard key is pressed. The messages are 'QRZ contest', '59
33', or 'thanks'.

If you are running stations, these three messages work very nicely. You
need to hit the Enter key 2 times after entering the callsign of the
station you are working (assuming received report is auto-filled
correctly). The second Enter key pressing sends a 'thanks' message and
logs the QSO. If the run is dying, you hit the enter key a third time to
call 'QRZ contest.

All of this works great in WL.
My problem occurs when in Search and Pounce mode. In this mode I often
don't use the function keys in the same sequence as the run mode.
I find that I seldom send the 'thanks' message in Search and Pounce
mode. The multiplier I am working already has a big pile-up calling
again when my 'thanks' would be sent. Its useless!

If I don't send the 'thanks' the qso is not logged.

I only have 2 solutions to avoid the 'thanks' message.
1) Turn off 'Enter Sends Exchg/QRZ' in Search and Pounce mode.
2) Program a function key to %L to only log the QSO.

I am using the %L solution.
Its very easy to punch the %L function key while tuning for the next
mult.

PROBLEM:
In the SSB mode, a function key programmed to just %L, always keys the
radio for a very short time.
Since there is no wave file associated with the function key message, it
should NOT key the radio at all. The %L does not key the radio in CW.

My computer drives my PTT line (ft1000MP) via the RTS line on a serial
port.
I have this problem on 10.52D and also on 10.41B
Do other WL users have this problem.
