I have been told that their compiler is not the latest. I offered and
if others do likewise, we can buy them the latest and greatist
compiler/program package. They are not that expensive if a number of us
chip in.

Hi All,

I tried this with two different computers, one AMD 3200+, the other P4
2.4G, and after 3 days of adjusting addresses, playing in writelog.ini,
trying both of the free external programs, going through reading all the

older post on this and any help files I could find, I failed to make it
work. The only common factor was WL software and trying to get LPT port
keying of CW which works fine without any add-ons with 2 other programs.

My bottom line is if the authors of the program call it a Windows
program
and have it working in Win9X, then it should be made to work in WinXP as

this IS a Windows operating system. You shouldn't need to spend any more

time or effort getting something to work that has been shown to be
readily
available in other programs. LPT port keying of CW is seamless in other
programs with WinXP.

By the amount of posts on this subject, it is obvious that this
"feature"
of WL needs attention.

I also wonder if anyone else has noticed that after installing WL, if
the
radio, FT1000MP in my case, is on while the computer is booting up, the
rig
tries to transmit 2 or 3 times during the bootup process. This seems to
be
occurring after I tried to get MMTY integrated with WL. If I pull the
comport attached to the interface for sound card RTTY the problems is
not
there.I now have to be sure the rig is off when booting the computer.
Anyone else come across this? Is there something I've done wrong to
cause this?

If nothing else, I've learned more about LPT port addresses than I ever
wanted to know! <G>
