Hi Bob,

As long as the ones you want to use are defined in Windoz as COMxx
teh WL can use them for any of it's CommSlot assignments by adding to
the writelog.ini file.
See Below:

[Ports]
CommSlot3=5

So if I look at my port setup what I will see for choices are

COM1
COM2
COM5
COM4

How do I use the com ports I have available for CW and CAT (com ports 8 
and 6 respectively)?

I already know the disappointing answer.  I have virtual ports that I am 
attempting to use to run my software defined radio for CW and CAT (which 
works fine with all programs that address those high number com ports).  
Hopefully this limitation can be addressed soon.
