Please, don't anyone get me wrong - I love Writelog and as a software
engineer (rusty and retired) I understand the kinds of difficulties that can
lurk. But I have a few nagging questions about quirks that may have known
fixes or workarounds:

Why does Writelog seem to turn on the Mic when it starts, even for a CW
contest, and leave it on when it exits, even if it was off when it started,
leaving the soundcard with an annoying feedback loop that must be disabled
manually?

Why does Writelog seem to initialize with the log positioned to display the
first QSO instead of the last?

Why does Writelog seem to leave partial and incorrect calls in the band map
even though they have been corrected without moving the VFO or logging a
QSO?

Why can't you copy the field layout from an existing log and redefine fields
or rearrange their sequence for use in a new log? (primarily useful for
general QSO logging and heretofore unknown contests) (I understand why this
might be harder for a log with actual Q's in it.)

Why does the QSO line highlight in the display jump around when you are
selecting a field of one QSO for editing with the QSO Edit tool, often
leaving QSO A highlighted while you edit QSO A+n?

Why is Preset Exchange from ADI file so slow?

Does anyone know workarounds for any of these quirks?

Tnx & 73,

/Rick N6XI
