[WriteLog] COMM Port Assignments Problem

I am having trouble using WriteLog with my Toshiba Satellite A25 laptop.
This laptop has no RS-232 ports, only USB ports.  The USB ports start at
COMM 5, but WriteLog's COMM port assignments are COMM 1 - 4.  I have
USB-to-Radio cables that work with Ham Radio Deluxe.  How do I get WriteLog
to operate on COMM 5 and up?  I've read the help and documentation, but
those techniques do not seem to work.
