Hi to all,
I have already checked the internet for similar topics but I have not find any
helpful hints, yet.
I have setup internet packet. The spots run into Writelog fine. With a
doubleclick on the spot in the packet window the software brings the radio on
the frequency and the correct mode:
Example:
DL2AA 3.790.0 - The radio will go to the freq and choose LSB as the correct
mode.
N5RQ 3.550.0 - The radio will go to the freq and choose CW as the correct mode.
So far this works like this on all bands - except for 40m.
On 40 Writelog brings the radio on CW when the spots are below 7.150. My
problem is I cannot tell Writelog to choose CW between 7.000 and 7.040, pick
LSB between 7.040 and 7.200 and mark all spots as in-band!
So far I have spent a lot of time with setting up the "Edit sub-bands" function
in Writelog but it seems as the program does ignore the Phone setup.
Example:
CW 7.000-7.040
SSB 7.040.7.200
In this case all spots above 7.040 where red and marked with an 'x' as "out of
band". Still the radio would always pick CW for spots above 7.040 even though
the setup indicates these spots as phone.
When I change to the following:
CW 7.000-7.200 (CW covers the whole band)
SSB 7.040-7.200
All spots where not marked as out of band (instead they come out black or
green) which is fine but CW is still the choice of mode even if the spot is in
the phone portion of the band.
It seems as if whatever changes I make in the Sub-bands Writelog does not want
to move to LSB below 7.150.
BTW: This occurs under "General DXCC tracking" as contest setup. Does this have
anything to do with it? Does it depend on the contest setup? But what would be
in a mixed mode contest?
The last time I used packet spots was during CQWW CW (SB 40). Apparently I have
not experienced this problem during that competition as all spots were in CW on
40...
There must be a way to tell the software to move to LSB between 7.040-7.200 and
do not mark the spots as out-of-band!
But how?
Any ideas?
Maik
