Hi all,
Like others, I only get TWO worked stations showing on the
bandmap, and
after that, they are replaced by new calls.
HOWEVER.......... if you use the RIT to tune folk in, then
these will show
up slightly off your RUN frequency, and thus stay on the
bandmap until you
work more on that same QRG.
If you get a lot of folk calling slightly off, then this
indeed can get a
bit messy.

Now K6LL says:

I just conducted a little experiment to test Phil's RIT
explanation and VOILA! Even with an RIT offset of 10 Hz, two
more stations are added to the bandmap. If you consider that
callers are off frequency by up to +/- 100 Hz, that's 21
different frequencies, with a possibility of 42 stations on
the bandmap. That's exactly what I was seeing when I got on
the air near the end of the BARTG contest with a new
callsign (K7ABC) and ran a fairly large pileup for 45
minutes, constantly twiddling the RIT to peak the loudest
station.
