Irwin,

Another suggestion might be to create a custom friend.ini file and use a
friend file tool such as the one from OE8CIQ. When the station you wish
shows up, the little utility will display their name as listed in your
custom file.  Chris's (OE8CIQ) site seems to be down at the moment, but
there may be other friend tools that you can use that I am unaware of. 

If need be I can send the copy I have (it is free), but be warned the
install package that Chris uses is written the Austrian language. The tool
itself is in English.
