A week or so ago several people on the reflector helped with my sound card
problem..For background I have two new XP latest greatest computers...the on
board chips failed the WL sound board test score 63..I added a second card
which scores 7f...and I am glad to report the cards work on ssb and cw however
while preparing for the NAQP RTTY this week the following happened:
both WL RTTY and MMTTY fail ..that is the screen goes black and the computer
reboots with dire warnings when I enter any RTTY program..I believe I have a
sound card conflict between the new cards and the chip on the mother
board...but I am not really a computer guy..I think I am over my head...trying
to get on for the NAQP this weekend..
the radio is a Pro II wired directly to com 3 with a an interface for PTT and
FSK Com 1 for freq control..cw is disabled in the set up...and the sound card
is listed in the WL sound mixer control
any help would be appreciated
