Ray,

You need a second com port.  If you're using com1 for rig control it cannot 
also be used for CW.   Does your new computer have serial ports or are you 
using a USB to serial converter?

Look in Windows Device Manager and see what other unused com ports, if any, 
are available on your machine.  WL only uses com ports numbered from 1 - 4 
for rig control and CW keying.  Since com1 is already in use you need to use 
com2, com3 or com4 for CW.  If your only available com ports are numbered 
higher than com4 you must make an entry in the writelog.ini file to reassign 
that port to a lower number.  For example, if you have com6 available add 
the following line in the [Ports] section of the ini file.

CommSlot2=6

Then use com2 for your CW port in WL.
