Patrick,
It sounds like the com port you have selected for CW does match a com port
in Win7 and that's why you are getting the CW to key. Check the Device
Manager in Win7 to see if the com port you are using for rig control in WL
exists in the Win7 list of ports. If it shows the com port exists it may be
in use by some other device/program. If so, try using a different port.

I just got a win 7 machine and having a problem getting the radio to talk
to writelog. I'm using a usb to serial adapter and have it all set up.
I can send cw to the rig the rig keys up and sends code but when I try to
connect to the radio
is says no rig ? Using a IC-756 and have it configured the same as on the
win XP machine but
cant get it to talk in win 7?
