The 2Tone problem was entirely my problem and V11.14B didn’t have anything to
do with the situation. The Makrothen contest module on the other hand did
figure into the problem. A few WriteLog releases ago Wayne made an update that
allowed storing the Rttyrite information for multiple windows, including 2Tone
clones, in the writelog.ini file. Apparently the Makrothen module does not
recognize these clone Rttyrite settings in the ini file and only opens with a
singe Rttyrite window available. That one being the transmit window that is
set up for MTTY, not 2Tone.
In my haste to set up the extra clone windows for 2Tone I repeatedly neglected
to see and uncheck the box for “Add-C” in the 2Tone Setup window. Once this
was pointed out to me by Ed W0YK and I set the parameter correctly the 2Tone
clone windows worked as before. It has been awhile since I set up a clone
window and with WL maintaining the clone window settings I never had to play
around with the clone settings until now. So, if the Makrothen module had
properly opened my clone windows I wouldn’t have had the problem. That’s my
story and I’m stickin’ to it!
