The only issue with "2 ports" and Rig Blaster Pro is if one has a newer
Kenwood, Yaesu or TenTec that needs RS-232 CAT *and* RTS/CTS handshake. In that case a "two port" solution is not available - not because the
RBP can't do it but because the necessary signals are not available on
the radio control port.

Excellent advice for sure, Joe.

Not only that but it will do CW and FSK using a "Y" cable as the output
is open collector. MWR has excellent support available over the phone.
See their web page.

All emails answered daily!

They even have some new virtual port software that increases the
flexibility of the RB Advantage.

Your Rigblaster Pro will easily do radio control CW and PTT on one port
with FSK on the second serial port. The information is in the interface
Owner's Manual - page 7 "Computer serial Control" with "Com Port & Rig
Control Jumper Diagrams (P16)" on page 28. The jumper diagrams you
need are the second set on page 30.

Various other cabling requirements are documented elsewhere in the RBP
Owner's Manual. If you need additional help, I suggest contacting the
maker of your interface for support rather than arguing that a working
configuration is not possible with two ports and your interface.

You have two interface - RB advantage = rtty mode and others and your
cheap
interface do the CW MODE.

But in both case before to pass from one mode to the other you have
to close
and change WL configuration or switching between different ini files.

Your answer pse here .

As mentioned I have the RIGBLASTER PRO who does the same thing ( rtty
on a
port and CW on another )

What I am trying to do with WL is running on all bands looking for DX
station and passing from a mode to the other but rapidely.

I tried the multi ini files ( AL9A ) & it works but I continue my
search for
a little faster change.

I built an inexpensive keying interface for CW keying so use a
separate
COM port for CW. Rigblaster advantage does the rest. <<< ((( is that
mean
you have 2 interfaces - one for CW PTT & on for RTTY - on two
different com
port ??? )))

This way I have Writelog ready to work CW or RTTY without having to
change
anything. I minimize the RTTY screen ((( that mean in WL you open a new
clone window ???))) until I need it.
