How did you try to make changes?
Hopefully your original writelog.ini is intact. Try this:
Close WriteLog if it is open. Reopen WriteLog and choose Import on the
opening screen. It should bring you to the location of writelog.ini in the
virtual store. See if WriteLog looks "normal" to you.
OR
Find writelog.ini in the virtual store using Windows Explorer. It should be
located here:
C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\VirtualStore\Windows\writelog.ini
Change YOURUSERNAME to whatever the user name on the account you are using.
See if the settings are there. If not, then they are probably lost.
Here's a suggestion to everyone. When you upgrade to Version 12, import your
settings from writelog.ini when it asks you "Import the writelog.ini found
here?". Then close Writelog and reopen it. Elect to Export on the opening
screen and name the file something like callsign.ini (for me it would be
aa5au.ini) and save it in a location where you can find it. I created a new
folder here:
C:\Documents\Writelog\Ini Files\
Save the exported .ini file where you can remember where it is. Go in and
edit the callsign.ini if you need to. Then the next time you open WriteLog,
you can import that file that has been edited.
Leave your original writelog.ini alone and it can always be a starting point
if things get messed up.
