[WriteLog] Remote control of VFO

Is there any software/hardware to enable remote VFO tuning with a knob 
or dial, when using WriteLog Control site software?
I tried setting up a ShuttleXpress but was unsucessful.  I have used a 
small DJ console with SDR software, but would need an api to program to 
for WriteLog.
