Glad you got it all working. Wayne did a super job coming up with a solution
requiring no extra hardware or significant reconfiguration when local vs.
remote.
I would recommend the remote power on/off. Having a way to shutdown if the
radio or WL goes key down is a good precaution. I have not had that happen,
but it could. More common is some type of PC hang. There are simple solutions
like Wemo, or more heavy duty products. My computers are set to boot when
power comes on.
Remote Desktop solutions are easy to set up. I have used teamviewer and
AnyDesk. Both have worked, and there are others.
