Someone recently asked about the MP putting out a brief RF power spike when
keyed that trips out Alpha amps.  

I just uncovered a Yaesu Tech bulletin on this topic.  It appears to apply
only to very
early units:  Lot 003 and before.  (Lot # is the first digits after the
letter in the serial
number).  The Yaesu file number is TB-9541.  It's a simple mod that just
changes
the value of one resistor on the AF board.  R3089 is changed from 4.7k to
2.2k ohms.
