Hi Gang,

While we're talking about "MP" bugs, I'll pass along two features
that bug me.

1) The receiver recovery time in QSK with the AGC on "fast" is
much worse than on "slow." Break-in performance with the
AGC set at "slow" is pretty good, but I would like to be able
to leave the AGC on "fast" where I usually operate the receiver.
     (Anyone else notice this?)

2) Using the low IF (455 kHz) 250 Hz filter in QSK mode produces
a irritating clicking sound after each character the receiver
recovery.
The 8 MHz IF 250 filter is usable.....I'm guessing this some kind of
"ringing" problem in the receiver IF. Another local station confirmed
      this characteristic on his "MP."

Overall, I'm VERY happy with the radio. I had a 1000D previously and it
had
its own quirks. The audio from the "MP" is much cleaner and full-fidelity
(with the filters open) than the "D" and since I receive 99% of my
operating
time, it is a big plus in my mind.

Best Wishes for the Holidays and 1997!
