[Yaesu] FT5200 Rot. Encoder

When my  FT5200 is cool (less than 60 in Arizona), the tuning encoder
action is not stable.  Sometimes it either stays on freq or jumps forward
then backward, etc.  Seems to be better when it warms up.  Is there an
adjustment, either mechanical or electrical that can alter this?
