Get the INRAD filters...

The change in the radio is VERY dramatic with the INRAD filters.

The INRAD filters have much sharper skirts than Yaesu's filter. It's
REALLY too bad that Yaesu didn't make any option SSB filters. It would
have been nice to play with them as well as the INRAD filters.

It doesn't change the function of the narrow button. When narrow is NOT
selected, you go thru the SSB filter(s), and when narrow is selected,
you go thru the CW filters. If you have the switch kit installed, with
two filters you get a cascaded filter.

George is GREAT to deal with, and has a great product. My biggest complaint
with my FT920 was the crappy SSB filter. I was having a rough time with
AGC overload when I first started contesting. The DSP simply doesn't cut
it for filtering and the stick filter is garbage. Yaesu suggested I contact
INRAD, and my story began there. I have TWO of the filter switch kits, the
2.1 and 1.8 SSB filters and the 400 and 250 CW filters in my 920. They work
like a champ and really makes the radio a joy to use.
