[Yaesu] Mk 5 ALC control?

Just received a Yaesu FT-1000 Mk V

Read manual TWICE but can not find any reference to=20
ALC control in CW.  Manual say to set power level and
transmit with no reference to adjusting ALC level.

Is this automatic setting in CW ??
