The Quadra loafs at 1100~1200 watts out from my experience at 9M6BG. RF in shack, due to proximity to antennas, results in problems sometimes, but that is not a typical environment (top floor flat with antenna on roof right above it). With tuner in line, it should do okay at 1.5 kW, but the last few hundred watts are probably not worth it & besides, increases chance of signal getting "dirty" if you're not watching it. Of course, power limit in 9M6 means amp has an easy life. 73, VR2BrettGraham |
