[Yaesu] 901dm

i have just installed a new am filter in my 901dm, and it seems like it is
really wide.
the problem only seems to be in the am mode.
when i roll up on a frequency and get a signal from someone, i can move the
vfo a little their signal drops a little, and as i keep turning it comes
back up.its like i have two channels of the same signal.it will drive you
nuts ! does anyone have any ideas on what is going on with this rig ?
