You have to buy it,same thing if you want to transmit in FM. You can receive
but not transmit. As for me the only cons. of this rig are AM-FM missing on
default and filters. For the rest I love him. I'm stick to him since 2000
and never been disapointed.

Hi all.
I've just bought brand new transceiver FT-920. It works great. First QSOs
gave me amazing signal quality reports. I have only one question - can
FT-920 transmit AM without YF-116A filter? I haven't bought it and see ERROR
on screen when push PTT in AM mode. I just want to know whether I have to
return this rig as malfunctioning or everything is OK. Searching through
internet did not give me any info.
