Comments: This station was operated from Fire Island Lighthouse
as part of International Lighthouse weekend. Fire Island
Light is Light List # 670 and is on the south shore barrier
beach overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The light is 168 feet

Special thanks to the Great South Bay ARC, Suffolk County RC,
and Islip ARES/RACES for there help. This was a "field day"
style event with all antennas and radios set up just for
the weekend. When I asked permission to operate the contest,
the consensus was that the contest would overwhelm the
special event station anyway, so if you can't beat them,
then join them! With that, W2GSB/Lighthouse was in the
NA QSO Party.
I, by virtue of my statement below, have taken part in the
NCJ NORTH AMERICAN QSO PARTY on 08/21/1999
conscientiously applying my most ethical interpretation of the
published rules for this contest.
