 SOAPBOX:

I must have done something wrong, the condiions on 20m should have me
with QSO totals much higher. It could be my tired brain and body after
05Z. I did try and get ahead of my sleep the week before. If I got an
extra hour, I was lucky. I forced myself through some really dismal rates
in the wee hours. The last six hours of the contest seemed as long as the
 first 18.

20m had a slow start Sunday morning. With the slow ramp up I didn't
even think to check 15m. I really hope I didn't miss out on any
surprises. Except for the VKs and JAs in the last 1/2 hour and the UA9
the last hour nothing special happened.

I am happy with the improvement that the 40m add-on to the A3S made. In
no case were signals louder with the vertical. It feels good to get
unsolicited "nice signal" reports and not having to repeat myself.
Trying to run on 40m was still not succesful. I think many stations
stations forget the band above 7.100! There were a few times I thought
there weak stations answering, but I have almost convinced myself I was
imagining it. I thought it was ironic that HC2EE signing "R2" was
giving 7.150 as his listening freq. I could have used the mult on 40m.

I have observed all competition rules as well as all regulations established
for amateur radio in my country. My report is correct and true to the best
of my knowledge. I agree to be bound by the decisions of the Awards
Committee.
