Comments:
Contest started out slowly. I tried to operate with a serious SO2R mindset. I
think that I have concluded that operating SO2R with LP is a real challenge.
The benefit of SO2R is that you can pick off the second station with one or two
calls or that you won't need to give a fill. It is difficult to accomplish
that with LP. One pitfall of SS that I fell in to was that I spent too much
time chasing the last two sections, AK and YT. [Thanks to KL7Y who called me
;^) and got VY1JA with one call]
Lots of competition here in EMA and the Northeast division, which is good! Saw
lots of SF which had been a problem for me in past years. There were also lots
of other "rare" sections like SD and ND.
SS is about RATE, which is not easy with LP. I didn't achieve my goal of more
than 1000 QSO's...that will be for next year...can't wait!
