Comments:

Murphy was along again for the ride, but still had a lot of fun.

The rotor that turns my 20/40 yagi and the top 10/15 yagi stopped turning early
the first night. As a true single op station, I have no one available to climb
and check it out. Fortunately, it stops in the NE direction. My ring rotor
on the second 10/15 continues to work perfectly all weekend, so at least those
bands were ok. Had to really really work for that JA mult on 20 and 40.

Because the 20/40 antennas wouldn't turn, I was reduced to trying to move some
of the Caribbean mults from 15 to 20 late Sunday afternoon. Murphy again
tried to intervene: I typed the 20m frequency into TRLOG and wound up with
both rigs on the same band. [The SKIP ACTIVE BAND = TRUE does not lock out
frequencies typed from the keyboard - only locks out the up/down band keys.]
Fortunately, TenTec rigs have bulletproof front ends! The second rig shut down

totally - I worked the mult - and then checked out the damage. Absolutely
none.
Score - N4TZ : 2 Murphy : 2.

Just starting to get use two radios - it certainly makes low power operating a
lot more fun.

With the weather and work, won't be able to work on the rotor before the phone
weekend, but will still give it a go. Bought a Heil headset to replace the
coiled cord mike borrowed from the two meter rig last year.
