My fourth Sprint. First time I tried low power and found it to be better than
HP for me -- I spend too much time retuning the linear when I change bands, and
I always seem to get rf into the computer when running HP in the Sprint. I
don't believe I suffered any from the lower power -- any shortage of QSOs was
due to operator problems, not lack of power. I find the Sprint to be an
intimidating contest, and always get totally confused for a couple of minutes
at least once during each contest. When its over, though, I feel like Ernie
Banks -- "let's play two!" The allure, I guess, is that I always feel I can do
better next time, and can't wait for February.
