Comments:

Many thanks to Allan, VE7SZ, for hosting me for the weekend.
Conditions were not terrific this time out--EU was tough the first night
(had trouble doing better than one a minute), and the JAs seemed rather scarce
compared to the SB 20 I did two years ago. Things improved into EU Saturday
night. As usual, USA activity was down. But, it was enjoyable to do the test
with the special XM prefix. It was also raining locally, and line noise was nil.

We experienced a bit more adversity than normal. Had trouble getting the
lastest version of Writelog to send code on Allan's PC without chopping up every
15 seconds or so. Tried a LOT of things to fix it, and finally gave up and ran
the contest using TRLog with my trusty 486/66. Sometimes older is better.
I also developed some illness issues that forced me to take a three hour
sleep break during the Saturday night JA opening, so I lost some score there.
And, we lost an amp on Sunday afternoon. Fortunately, there are three at the
shack, so down time was minimal.
Thanks to all for the Qs!

73,

Gary VA7RR
