Conditions were rather weird, what with the effects of the coronal
mass ejection and all that. The good news is that the JAs were around
in quantity this weekend. I love working JAs. They are so polite and
are excellent operators. My first hour was 183 (and then it went downhill
from there). The low bands had very few signals, it seemed to me.
This was my first single-op CQ WW in a number of years from the west
coast. For DX contests, I would still prefer my old New Hampshire
location, but the N6RO station does play really well -- even if it is
on the "more challenging coast" for CQ WW! Thanks, Ken, for letting me
use it.
