Poor propagation - but it is nothing new.
A lot of competition in SO/HP in Eu this year, wonder what SO2R, YT6A, RK4FF
etc... done.
I had a feeling that the broadcasters on 40m were the worst I remember. Was it
due to propagation or YI ?
Openings to NA were very short, on 15m in Sunday only about 50 minutes, saturday
was better almost 2 hours ! Propagation to JA on 15 was decent, more than 5
hours with reasonable signals, but there is not enough of stations, so the runs
were slow !
On 10m I worked from USA only N4BP who was very surprised that such a station
as me made it.
Maybe I should have spent more time on 20m (as seen from 9A5E's posting), I
spent more time on 15, the rate was definitely smaller than on 20m but I belive
it produced more points. One has also to make the pauses sometimes and this year
the propagation was so strange I was unable to decide when so I have chosen
quite untraditional times, if it was good or bad decision....
Since I found I have no chance to make sufficient number of QSOs I was S+Ping a
lot to make at least some multipliers, if it worked out remains to be seen.
