Comments:
I don't have antennas to cover all bands yet, so I decided to do a single band
entry. I set up a second receiver with a dipole several hundred feet away, and
was able to listen while transmitting with most antenna combinations. The 2nd
radio then fed spots to the trlog bandmap.
Sunday was really really slow, with no one new to work...only enough activity in
this contest for one interesting day of single-band operation. No major
equipment failures, although I had to take some time off friday night at prime
time to fix an amplifier problem.
Conditions seemed fairly good most of the time, but there was a much better
Asia opening the second night. There were also periods of high QRN early
saturday AM and sunday PM, probably thunderstorm noise...sorry for all those who
called I couldn't copy. From this QTH and with low antennas I worked a lot of 1
pt qso's.
Thanks for all the q's!
