Comments:
Great to work you all again, the many Canadians and those stalward U.S. stations
who are always there. This was very much a part-time effort, most of the time
taken with baby sitting my year-old grand-daughter.
Conditions did not seem exceptional and there was heavy QRN in the evening plus
bad power line noise much of the day. The latter was less of a problem because
there was no propagation either during the day, or at least limited medium range
propagation and the activity centred on 14MHz not 7!
The score would indicate that with the AL-1200 added to the TS-950SDX and the
beverages in operation, a serious run at the 40m Canada Day record score should
be possible - another year. This year's goals of 200 Q's and 30,000 points were
reached, the former in the last minute of the contest with a call from VE2OWL!
Thanks again, folks and how about that CW total being higher than on phone!
