Comments:
Worked QRP from cottage of VE3VFT. Only one 2m contact abt 150 miles, no 10m
heard.
Antennas: 2 80/80 trapped dipoles @ 30 feet
1 Diamond V2000 @ 20 feet
Radios: FT990 @ 5 watts
FT817 @ 5 watts
Elecraft K2 @ 5 watts
Two major thunderstorms (one Sat., one Sunday) shut us down for abt 1 hr each
time. Battery power on equipment was no problem although local electricity was
threatened.
In addition to regular QSOs, we worked several hundred mosquitoes and black
flies (no reception problem at QRP distances) Why is there no scoring entry for
number of mosquitoes worked per regular QSO?
