Comments:
We were portable, battery power, set-up at the Desert Tower, a tourist
attraction on the Imperial county line with San Diego. Elevation of the Tower is
approximately 4000' above sea level, which helped, as we were just using an
all-band trapped dipole about 15' above ground. Conditions seemed fine, but
noticed that we worked a lot of the same stations, but on different bands.
Dennis/WB6CGJ and I have been doing the Sprints together for the last couple of
years, always setting up portable, battery power somewhere in Imperial County.
This years Fall Sprint was our last together, as I am moving to New Mexico. I
will miss operating with Dennis. See ya in the Winter from NM!
