Comments:
Telnet assistance made Sunday less boring.
I used a dial-up connection though, and got dumped
off-line half a dozen times, even though I had a one-minute
Telnet tickle, and a one minute XRay flux monitor
refresh displayed. At the end of the contest, new stations
were rare on the cluster, but it was always exciting when
fresh meat finally showed up!
My rotator brake started failing intermittently,
and I had to ride the rotator
control for a while to keep the antenna pointing
the right way.
I was lucky to have some off-time available during
the flare.
There must be a lot of unmodified FT-1000MP's out there,
because there were quite a few obnoxious key clicks.
It's almost as bad as the TS-940 phase noise was in
that rig's hayday.
I agree with K5ZD's comment, that weak guys should
definitely not send leading zeros. It's frustrating
to bust your buns trying to decode a number, with a
bunch of repeats, only to find that it's a leading zero!
Thanks for all the Q's, and see you in SSB. I hope
10 meters is as good for SSB as it was this past
weekend.
