Comments:
I used the voice message playback in WriteLog for the first time. That was fun
and the program worked fine. I setup a nice pro audio mixer and pro grade
isolation transformers to do all the audio mixing and control, but still had
some RF problems. It was unusable at first but I rearranged things until the RF
problem went away. It was gone on 20, but I could detect a little bit of a
problem remaining on 40. Removing one of the isolation transformers helped cure
the problem!
Knowing I could only put in a few hours, I didn't bother to retune my 80 antenna
from CW to Phone. The skip was so long on 40 I didn't work anything close in.
In fact I didn't work a single 2nd call area multiplier and only MDC from the
3rd call area.
20-meters also seemed a bit strange. There were several KL7 and VY1 spots, but
as in the CW weekend I could not hear them. I've never had problems hearing KL7
and VY1 until this sweep. Hope this doesn't get to be the norm.
