Comments:
Lots of problems, but to be expected...just loads of fun operating from VK.
Thanks to David, VK2CZ for all his help. Had a broken rotator, and that
necessitated a number of trips up the 70' tower to turn the beam. Had no CW
interface cable for the laptop, so relied on the 756ProII to send all but the
other stations callsign, and then had to log it before going on to the next call
-- almost like the old days! Conditions are tough from Down Under. 40 was the
money band, and a half-wave sloper did wonders. 80 almost useless, with weak
and watery sigs and a high noise level. And 20-15-10, when the TH6 was pointed
the right way had moments, but never could get much of a run going with the
100W. But enjoyed working the FRC guys, and tried hard to ignore the JT's and
BV's on 80.
