Comments:
Expected to go M/2 but all other ops snowed in! Was initially very
disappointed, as I felt the station was the strongest it has ever been.
Decided to make the best of it and picked 40M for SOHP. Had fun, especially the
second day when I started a run at 1745 on 7015 and stayed there until 2400.
Cleared and successfully defended a nice quiet spot and worked a large # of QRP
stations. As often happens here, ambient noise levels were very low and once
the QRM decided to move the 1-watt European stations were way above the noise
level.
These days, I am mostly the host for M/2 teams and don't operate that many
hours--it was fun to operate lots of hours this time and a good chance to study
a band I never did SB before.
Rig: MP/Alpha 87A, Force 12 C51XRN 2/2 (part of F12 3-stack at 100M over salt
water/34M over land).
