Just a casual participation between other commitments and weekend events...
Would say that there are too many RTTY contests if you are not retired, but
this one is definitely a nice one...
Found the conditions better than expected for such a low sunspot: worked the 20
W-areas and 18 JA-areas on 15 and 20 and did nearly 50% of the QSO's with DX
stations (average: 12pts/QSO). Was a bit difficult with Oceania but managed to
work VK4UC and VK2KM on 3 bands, despite high noise on 40...(gave-up on 80: too
high noise and very few "low points" stations...).
Good surprises from Pacific with FO5PS and 3 KH6 and from Africa with CN8KD on 4
bands and ET3TK on 3 (no pbm for the 6 continents this time). Thanks to UX0DL
for the 5bands (think the only one!).
Finaly a good result for my small domestic station and a limited time and
energy investment... another one that I need to do seriously one day!
73's Patrick
