Comments:
Six meters opened to Texas for a couple of hours on Saturday late afternoon and
to Florida for 3-4 hours on Sunday morning, with a couple of Colorado QSOs each
time. Saturday I called and got an answer from W6FM in CA but the band dropped
out before I could get a confirmation from him :>( Otherwise lots of time for
"real" VHF operating. Tropo conditions seemed decent though not outstanding.
A close encounter with some lightning earlier in the week left a few minor
problems including an apparent blown computer interface to the radio, so I had
to manually change bands on the logging software. I hope I got them all right.
