Comments:
The first 4 hours of the contest was very good with a total of 216 QSO´s then it
all closed. The next four hours (normally the best) gave only 19 contacts.
Sunday was also poor until only 2 hours remained of the contest when I was able
to get a pileup again. I spent the rest of the time searching stations and
calling the odd CQ. This is quite common at 64 degrees north and I am still
waiting for the CW weekend with superb conds on 40m.
In all I managed to work 449 QSO´s 58 dupes and 391 that was OK. The amount of
dupes (12.9%) is most likely due to copying ZS2E instead of 7S2E. I had a look
today at the Spot Database of DX-Summit and found that ZS2E hade been spotted 4
times during the contest. These times coincide with the dupes in my log. I was
spotted 15 times and 2 of these said not ZS2E - One spotter though accused me of
stealing the frequency of ZS2E which I find most amusing!!
So I guess some of you have claimed a QSO with South-Africa when it really was
Sweden you worked. How about listening more carefully next time guys.
